If you’ve been dreaming about warm, sunny weather, look no further than the RGV. We absolutely love the beach. We love to bring our daughter down here, just for the day. You can practically live anywhere in the RGV, come down to South Padre Island for the day, go back home, and sleep in your own bed at night. It’s just an awesome get-away.

What I love about the beach here at South Padre Island is, right behind me is the lower Laguna Madre Bay. It is known for its world class fishing. You have the other side which is where the beach actually is. You have the surf, the sun. If you just like to lay out and look at the beautiful view, you can. Because of our very mild, warm climate, you can golf, fish, hunt. Many of these things are all year round.

The RGV is very family oriented. It’s a great place to raise a family, to have kids. There’s so many opportunities here in the RGV and I know it’s just going to keep booming.

Speaking of booming, as you can see, today we are here at Starbase in Brownsville, TX. Over the last 10-15 years the valley has just grown exponentially.

Our University system down here is massive! We have UTRGV (University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) which is part of the UT system. And we also have STC (South Texas College) which has different branches throughout the valley. We have TSC which is another small college in Brownsville called Texas Southmost College. We also have TSTC (Texas State Technical College.) The collegiate and after-high school bases are covered. But it keeps going. Agriculture is huge in the valley. We have acres upon acres of farmland. Many of it is dedicated towards cotton, sugarcane, and sorghum grain, which is where my family got its start. My dad’s a farmer, and my grandparents were as well.

My family has a long history in the Rio Grande Valley as well. My grandparents started a building company and they built hundreds and hundreds of homes all throughout the valley. I think that’s where probably my love of Real Estate came in. And even today, the valley is growing with new construction, new homes. There’s constantly new developments that are coming up. It’s just a great place to be.

One of our favorite things about the RGV is not only the rich culture, but it’s the people. We agree that the valley is one of the most friendly, welcoming places you will find, not only in Texas, but in the US. We live right on the US/Mexico border, so naturally, we have a lot of people from Mexico, who have Mexican heritage. We love it because the people are awesome, friendly, and the food is amazing.

It was a blast. We call the RGV our home and we would love it if you called it your home, too.
